Jericó

The Infinite Flight of Days

Brand new for 2019!

A partnership with the Festival cinéma du monde de Sherbrooke (FCMS). Malika Bajjaje, co-founder and director of the FCMS, chose this film especially for Rivers of Light. This work, created by Catalina Mesa, a Colombian director, corresponds perfectly to the spirit of Rivers of Light and the Théâtre des Petites Lanternes. Join us at the Centre des arts de la Scène for a special screening of this Colombian film! Juan Manuel Chavarín will be with us to facilitate a post-screening discussion.

In Jericó, a village in the Antioquia region of Colombia, women of different ages and social conditions speak of the joys and sorrows of their lives. Their stories unfold one after the other, sharing with us their inner space, their humor and their wisdom. Chila, Luz, Fabiola, Elvira ... alternately rebellious, nostalgic, modest and shameless.

An explosion of words, music and humanity.
