Sherbrooke | Autumn 2019

Rivers of Lights is our annual lantern rendez-vous in Sherbrooke! From September 23 to 29, 2019, meet us in downtown Sherbrooke for lantern workshops, a lantern walk, a night market and an exclusive program of art, music and dance that will last all week long!

Inspired by the magic of lanterns and the stories of the Sherbrookois, Rivières de Lumières is anchored in poetic encounters found in our very own landscapes. Through a series of memorable moments, alongside much dancing, celebrating and eating, there will be a host of encounters.. of the unusual kind.

This year, thanks to our special partnership with the LatinArte Festival and a group of Latino-Québécois artists, the event’s theme is Étincelle latine, a “latin spark”.

We are particularly proud to present this unique cultural experience, which was first created in 2015 by the Théâtre des Petites Lanternes in collaboration with LaboKracBoom and the Maison des arts de la Parole.

We invite you to come and create a lantern, experience one of the shows, parade through the streets of Sherbrooke and celebrate the beginning of Autumn in style.

Wishing you a wonderful festival!
